KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Taekwondo team, including three players and a coach, has travelled to Turkey to participate in a tournament featuring Muslim countries.
The 2022 Islamic Solidarity Games will be the 5th edition of the event, which is scheduled to take place in Konya from August 9 to August 18, 2022.
The event was initially scheduled to take place in 2021 but was postponed due to potential travel problems caused by COVID-19.
The Afghanistan General Directorate of Sports and Physical Training said the national taekwondo team left for Turkey late on Tuesday to take part in the competition . . .
