Afghan professors attend capacity-building training

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): More than two dozen professors from different universities of Afghanistan attended a two-week capacity-building course at a leading Pakistani university.

Twenty-eight Afghan professors participated in the training course at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, organisers said.

Academic Structuring in Higher Education Institutes, Outcome-based Education, Effective Class Planning, Contemporary Research Matrices, and Web of Science, Scopus & HEC Journal Recognition System, etc, were the areas covered by the course.

Part of an extensive programme, the course will allow more university teachers from the neighbouring country to visit NUST for capacity building training.

Afghanistan’s acting Ambassador to Pakistan Sardar Ahmed Shakeeb and others attended the closing ceremony for the training course.
