2-year-old boy falls into deep well in Helmand

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A two-year-old boy fell into a deep well in the Nawzad district of southern Helmand province on Tuesday, an official said.

Provincial Information Director Hafiz Rashid told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident happened in Koshk area of Nawzad district.

Rashid did not offer much detail but added that security forces have been dispatched to the area to launch rescue operation.

Children falling into deep wells had increased recently in Helmand and some other provinces.

On July 12^th a girl and two boys had fallen into a deep well, the girl was rescued but the boys died in the incident.
