Afghan Olympic committee presents goodwill gift to Erdogan

KABUL (Pajhwok): National Olympic Committee of Afghanistan head Nazar Mohammad Mutmayin has presented Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a goodwill gift on the behalf of Afghan people.

The general directorate of sports in a statement said Mutmayin also met Turkish interior minister Suleyman Soylu and Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, and some other officials on the sidelines of the Islamic Solidarity Games.

Mutmayin presented the goodwill gift to Turkish President Erdogan on the behalf of the people of Afghanisten, which he welcomed and accepted.

Mutmayin in his meeting with Turkish interior minister Sulyeman Soylu discussed mutual cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkey.

The Islamic Solidarity Games were launched in Konya city of Turkey and a total of 4200 athletes from 56 countries are participating in the event.
