KABUL (Pajhwok): The Fire Brigade chief of northern Jawzjan on Thursday said the fire that erupted two days ago in Balamardyan village has been put out, but the reason behind the blaze is yet to be ascertained.
On Tuesday, fire erupted in one of the houses in Balamardyan village of Faizabad district and continued until Wednesday evening.
Azizuddin Nizami, director of fire brigade department, told Pajhwok Afghan News the fire broke out on Tuesday evening and was extinguished on Wednesday evening.
He added about 50 residential houses had completed gutted in the huge blaze.
