PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Efforts are ongoing for the resumption of trade with Afghanistan through the Ghulam Khan crossing in North Waziristan, says Pakistan’s defence minister.
Khwaja Asif informed the National Assembly on Wednesday that a committee had been set up to ensure the resumption of trade with Afghanistan through that crossing.
Two crossing points, including one in Ghulam Khan area, have been shut for the last two weeks because of tensions among various local tribes, according to APP news agency.
In addition to harming the area’s economy, the blockade of roads has also affected trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan . . .
