KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): A CT Scan machine has been activated in the zonal hospital of northern Kunduz province after its installation seven years ago.
Najibullah Sahil, director of public health, said the plant was purchased for $700,000 seven years ago with the help of a donor agency but it remained inactive due to various factors.
According to him, patients now do no need to go outside for CT scan examination.
Sayed WarisHashimi, a doctor at the zonal hospital, said: “Previously, about 30 to 40 patients would go outside of the hospital every day for CT Scan examination, but currently this machine has been activated.”
