MAIDANSHAR (Pajhwok): Three people have been killed and the Kabul-Bamyan Road closed as a result of flash floods in central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Friday.
Disaster Management Authority Director Mawlavi Faizullah Jalali told Pajhwok Afghan News that flash floods were triggered by torrential rain in the Syedabad, Chak and Jalrez districts.
He said a woman and two children had been killed, hundreds home demolished and hundreds of acres of agricultural land damaged as a result of overnight flash floods.
It is worth mentioning that flash floods inflicted massive losses on people recently in different parts of the province.
