KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan have defeated Ireland in their fourth T20 International, leveling the five-match series 2-2.
Ireland elected to bowl after winning the toss in Monday’s match, with Afghanistan setting the hosts a target of 133 runs for the loss of six wickets.
A 50-run partnership off 18 balls between Najibullah Zadran and Rashid Khan followed by a collective bowling effort helped Afghanistan level the series 2-2.
The match in Belfast was reduced to 11overs a side, with the decider set to take place on August 17, according to ESPN Cricinfo.
After rain delayed the start by two hours, Najibullah and Rashid lifted Afghanistan from 76 for 5 to 132 for 6.
The hosts then fumbled in the chase and were bowled out for 105, with left-arm quickie Fareed Ahmad taking three wickets and Rashid and Naveen-ul-Haq picking up two apiece.
