‘Man, woman shot dead in Faryab’s Lolash district’

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A man has shot dead his sister and a strange man in the Lolash district of northwestern Faryab province, an official said on Tuesday.

District Police Chief Damullah Mohammad Hashim Khurshid confirmed the incident and told Pajhwok Afghan News the man deceased name was Musa Qasab from Lashi village and the deceased woman was from Tahkhel village were killed on Monday evening.

Khursheed added: “According to the initial report Abdul Malik the slain woman brother killed them when he found Musa Kasab and his 24-year-old sister inside a room in Tahkhel village.”

He said police personnel had been dispatched to the Tahkhel village to closely investigate the case and arrest the murderer, he added.

A reliable local source, who did not want to be named in report, said: “The slain woman's husband work in another area. When her brother found out that she was with a strange man in the room alone then  he first fasten them and exposed them to the local elders.”

After they were exposed to the local elders, Malik shot them both at time when elders were leaving the house.
