Parwan: Thousands sit exam for 50 teacher posts

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Nearly 2,800 candidates, including 752 women, have appeared in an entrance test for teacher posts in central Parwan province.

However, 50 candidates will be recruited as teachers and two as administrative employees.

Mufti Mohammad Hassan Haqqani, director of education, said the exam was held transparently and the result would be unveiled 10 days later.

Jawad Ahmad, a resident of Bagram district of Parwan who participated in the exam, said: “The exam was transparent, the questions were easy, I solved almost 90 percent queries.”

Nearly 2,800 people applied for the 50 posts against a salary of around 6,000 to 12,000 afghanis because a large number of people in the country are facing unemployment.
