MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Four people were injured in a landmine blast in this capital city of northern Balkh province on Wednesday, police said.
The blast took place in the fourth security district of Mazar-i-Sharif shortly after 11:30am, said Balkh police spokesman Mohammad Asif Waziri.
He said a man wanted to transfer the explosives from one place to another when the explosives went off. The carrier of the landmine and three passersby were injured in the blast. The injured were taken to the civil hospital in Mazar-i-Shari.
One of the injured was in critical condition and the remaining three were in stable condition, said Dr. Najibullah Tawana, head of the civil hospital.
