GCC stresses global role in stabilising Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): A senior Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) official has underlined the role of the global fraternity in helping Afghanistan achieve stability.

Dr Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, GCC secretary-general, said this at a meeting with US Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls and Human Rights Rina Amiri in Riyadh on Tuesday.

The two sides reviewed international efforts for providing support and assistance to the Afghan people in realising their aspirations for security, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
