KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Higher Education Minister Abdul Baqi Haqqani on Sunday said in Afghanistan students did not study for seeking knowledge but for obtaining degrees, which was not good for a country’s progress.
Haqqani was addressing a meeting in connection with the revision of the curriculum of veterinary and pharmacy faculties in Kabul.
He called on teachers to focus on the youth’s intellectual training while reviewing the curriculum in order the youth were able to gain knowledge for the country’s development.
