The uplift scheme was built in the Haji Mohammad Abad area of Farah City at the cost of 12 million afs provided by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the provincial Information and Cultural Affairs Department said in a statement.
According to the source the project has the capacity to supply water to 700 families while currently, 330 families were being benefited.
Local residents have been thrilled after the completion of the project
Ibrahim, a local resident, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “In the past, brought drinking water from other areas but now we have got clean drinking water at our doorstep.”
