India thrash Pakistan in 2nd match of Asia Cup

KABUL (Pajhwok): India have defeated Pakistan in the second match of Asia Cup 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.

Hardik Pandya’s all-round brilliance powered India to a thrilling five-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday.

Pandya ended with figures of 3/25 in four overs while restricting Pakistan to 147 in 19.5 overs and then smashed 33 off 17 balls.

His towering six in the last over bowled by left-arm spinner Mohammed Nawaz, saw India romping home, according to the Indian Express.

Put in to bat, Pakistan were bundled out for 147 in 19.5 overs. Mohammed Rizwan top-scored with 43, but no other Pakistani batter could make any impact.

Hardik Pandya was the pick of Indian bowlers, claiming three scalps, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged four wickets.
