TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): A mentally sick person shot dead two security personnel and injured two civilians as they tried to capture him in Khas Uruzgan district of central Uruzgan province on Wednesday.
Qari Aghawali Qureshi, Director of Information and Culture of Uruzgan, told Pajhwok Afghan News the mentally sick person climbed the mountain and opened fire in Nakrozo area.
He added two security personnel were killed and two local residents were injured while trying to arrest the person. He identified the shooter as Jaan and said an operation to arrest him was ongoing.
A resident of the area, Qudratullah, told Pajhwok that the man climbing the mountain was still firing and was yet to be arrested.
