NEILI CITY (Pajhwok): Benefitting 1200 families, over a hundred clean drinking water reservoirs have been built and inaugurated in Khadir and Miramor districts of central Daikundi province.
The clean water supply project has been funded by ‘World Vision International’ and implemented by ‘Medair’, a statement from the provincial Rural Rehabilitation and Development department said.
It said the project that consumed 14 million afghanis would provide clean water to 1,200 families.
About a hundred local residents have been technically trained to look after the water source problems and some kits have been also distributed to residents that they can use in cleanliness.
The drought of the past two years has affected 90 percent of Daikundi residents.
