2 children killed, 4 injured in Paktia blast

GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Two children were killed and four others injured in a blast caused by an Explosive Remnant of War (ERW) in the Ahmadkhelo district of southeastern Paktia province, an official said on Wednesday.

Paktia Information and Cultural Affairs Director Khaliqyar Ahmadzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast happened in the Tarkani area of Ahmadkhelo district early in the day.

It was an ERW and exploded when children were playing with it. He added the injured had been shifted to Kabul for treatment and they were in stable condition.
