ZARANJ (Pajhwok): For the first time, a woman in Zaranj city, the capital of northwestern Nimroz province, has opened a shop to provide services of celebration events.
She also hired two more women in the shop and shop and asked people and officials to support her.
Atifa, a teacher and the founder of ‘Tashreefat Arosi Kulba Sabz’, told Pajhwok Afghan News, that after the takeover in the country, her economic problems were souring and she was thinking about a business to help her family and generate jobs for other unemployed women.
She opened the ceremonial services shop for accepting the online orders of her customers for investing only 2,000 afs and now her capital has reached 40,000 afs.
Atifa is currently working with two women and two men, she said: “I work with my four colleagues to make the orders of our customers for marriage, wedding, Hanna night, birthday and marriage anniversary ceremonies.”
She said they provide flower bouquets, bridal car decorations, Hanna baskets, cake decorations, juice set, bride and groom bed decorations and even provide bridal and groom’s outfit selection services.
She added: “We collect the customers’ orders 10 days prior to the promised time and order the materials from Herat or Kabul city with a 10 percent discount for customers’ satisfaction.”
The women designers collect the orders of the customers, design the outfits, Hanna and make other decorations and a man works as a delivery man to take these things to the customer’s destinations.
Atifa currently works with her four colleagues and hoped to increase the workers' number as her business further flourishes and she expects a loan and some suitable place from the government.
Karima Noor, one of Atifa’s customers admired her services and the facilities she provided.
Noor said: “This shop has made it very easy for her to get her order for Hanna night at her doorstep.”
Noor added: “Kulba Sabz “the Green Hut” is offering a good discount so she won’t spend ten or 15 thousand afs but will get her order for bridal stage decoration only at eight thousand afs.”
Najubullah Khashroodi, the head of chambers of commerce told Pajhwok that they will support any business which is not in conflict to Sharia law and to the customs of the Afghan society.
Currently 5 businesswomen were registered with the chambers of commerce and he can introduce Kulba Sabz to participate private sector’s monthly gathering to get financial assistance.
