JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A Turkish investment company STFA will launch projects worth $42 million to prevent the risk of natural disasters in eastern Nangarhar province.
In a statement, the governor’s house said the Turkish company (STFA Group) head made the announcement during a meeting with the governor of Nangarhar.
Hirokomasi, head of the company, said in the east of Afghanistan, especially in Nangarhar, projects would be implemented at a cost of 41.5 million US dollars in order to prevent risk of natural disasters and promote social unity.
She added these projects would be implemented according to people’s needs and emphasized on cooperation of the provincial administration in this regard.
Governor Mullah Mohammad Naeem Akhund thanked the head of the Turkish company for the projects and promised cooperation.
