PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The United States says it expects Pakistan to take sustained action against all terrorist groups operating on its soil.
To help the ally in the war on terror, the US is likely to approve a $450 million military sale package for the maintenance of Pakistan’s F-16 fleet.
State Department spokesperson Ned Price told a media briefing on Wednesday that the Congress had been notified of the proposed sale.
With regard to media freedom in Pakistan, Price said: “We continue to be concerned by significant restrictions on media outlets and civil society in that country.”
