HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have seized 87 kilograms of drugs in two separate operations in western Herat province, police said on Sunday.
The police headquarters in a statement said counter-narcotics department forces also arrested three persons for alleged smuggling and processing of the drugs in two separate operations.
The drugs seized included 20 kilograms of methamphetamine, nine kilograms of hashish, 19 kilograms of opium and 39 kilograms of substance used in drug production. The detainees were being investigated.
The operations were conducted in Herat city and Mir Dawood area of Guzara district.
