BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): The head of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), during his visit to Bamyan, said that thousands of families associated with agriculture will be provided with financial support, according to a statement on Monday.
AFO Head Richard pledged that they will help 15,500 families who are associated with agriculture.
A statement from the Governor House said that FAO Head Richard during the trip met Governor Mawlavi Abdullah Sarhadhi and discussed matters related to agriculture.
FAO is working to improve agriculture and livestock, distribution of refined seeds and urea, emergency humanitarian aid and implementation of long-term projects, the statement said.
He said that he is working to improve the livestock situation and the better growth of domestic animals, and in the near future, they will distribute vitamin and protein food to 3,000 families.
Bamyan governor asked head of the FAO to support the people of Bamyan to improve their agriculture, livestock and provide humanitarian aid and pay attention to the implementation of infrastructure projects.
Sarhadi assured improved security to all employees of FAO and individuals who execute their projects.
