Renowned Muslim scholar Al Qaradawi passes away at 96

KABUL (Pajhwok): Renowned Muslim scholar Yusuf al-Qaradawi has passed away in Doha, the capital of Qatar, according to a media report on Monday.

Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi was based in Qatar, and originally hailed from Egypt.

His death was reported by Al Arabiya citing a post on his official Twitter account.

His son, Abdul Rahman Yusuf al-Qaradawi, confirmed the news on his Twitter account.
