KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Security Council is set to hold a session on the situation in Afghanistan tomorrow (Tuesday).
The UN mission here said on Monday Markus Potzel, acting head of UNAMA, would brief the 15-member council on developments in the country.
In addition to the need for continued global assistance, the ongoing economic and humanitarian crises in the country are expected to come up for discussion.
Sharp divisions surfaced in the top UN body during its previous session over whether to extend exemptions for Taliban leaders from an existing travel ban.
