SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Local classes have been set up for 5,000 out of school children in northern Jawzjan province.
Mirwais Abdali, ACTED organization deputy head in Jawzjan, told Pajhwok Afghan News the classes had been set up for about 5,000 children who had been deprived of education with financial support of UNICEF.
Maulvi Mohammad Tahir Jawad, director of education in Jawzjan, said the local classes were established in nine districts of the province.
Eng. Mohammad Sarwar Rezai, a UNICEF representative, said the project was for three years and then the children would be enrolled in schools of the Education Department.
