Security forces unearth weapons cache in Jawzjan

SHABERGHAN (Pajhwok): A huge cache of weapons has been recovered in Shiberghan City, the capital of northern Jawzjan province, an official said on Thursday.

Information Department Director Maulvi Saifuddin Moatasam told Pajhwok Afghan News that in a special operation, the intelligence department of the province has discovered and seized a large cache of military weapons and ammunition from Kart-i-Dostum of Shiberghan City.

He said 20 anti-aircraft shells, 20 missiles, a mortar launcher, 23 rocket shells, 20 mortar shells, 22 medium mortar shells, 23 cannon, 18 M4 ammunition boxes, two airplane wings, 62 items of various equipment and other items had been recovered.
