KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The municipality of Kunduz City, the capital of northern Kunduz province, have launched work on four development projects worth 17 million afs, an official said on Sunday.
Kunduz City Mayor Mawlavi Gull Mohammad Elyas told Pajhwok Afghan News projects included concrete laying, gravel laying on some roads and tuff tile work of some roadsides in parts of Kunduz city.
Fund for these uplift projects were provided from the development budget of municipality, he said.
Elyas urged the residents to pay the amount for market and residential areas cleanliness on time to give the municipality chance to launch more such projects.
The residents were thrilled for the projects.
Mohammad Bashir, a resident said: “Luckily our street is being concreted so we will not face any dust during the summer and get rid of muddy ways in the winter time; I want the other streets also concreted”.
The projects were implemented at time when residents had demanded the execution of more similar schemes.
