PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan says it desires durable peace and stability in the region for the promotion of trade.
Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sajid Hussain Turi voiced Pakistan’s desire during a visit to the Kharlachi crossing on Saturday.
Turi called Kurram valley important for traders, saying it connected Pakistan with Afghanistan and Central Asia states through Kharlachi and Borki.
He had discussed with authorities concerned the extension of CPEC to Kurram 9n the interest of eternal peace, stability and prosperity for the region, the minister said.
He promised the road to the Durand Line would be paved soon. He also spoke of efforts to activate the railway track to Tall area to enhance border trade.
The minister directed the authorities to provide maximum employment opportunities for the local people.
