LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested two people in southern Helmand province in connection to iron smuggling to Pakistan, an official said on Monday.
Deputy Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Mawlavi Muhammad Qasim Riyaz told Pajhwok Afghan News security forces have two men in the Safar area of Garamseer district who wanted to smuggle iron to Pakistan.
He added: "These men had loaded iron in a trailer and wanted to smuggled it to Pakistan. They were arrested by security forces."
The detainee had been introduced to the attorney and Judiciary Institutions for investigation, he said.
Earlier, according to the Information and Cultural Affairs department three people were arrested for smuggling iron to Pakistan in Garmseer district.
