KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Police uniform distribution process has been launched in northern Kunduz province as well, an official said on Monday.
Police chief Qari Bakhtiyar Mahaz said the uniform distribution process was launched on Sunday and in the first phase 150 police received uniforms and 3,000 more would be equipped with uniform in next three days.
“With the distribution of uniforms, security will be ensured in better way, the uniforms will be distributed to all officials and personnel in the provincial capital and districts,” he added.
The residents of Kunduz province considered the process a necessary step in order to ensure security of the citizens.
Ehsanullah Sabawoon, a resident of Kunduz, said: “The distribution of the uniform will tell apart between military and civil officials and also the crime level will decrease and law will be enforced.”
Also on Monday, the process to distribute uniforms among 2000 police personnel was launched in southern Ghazni province.
