PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan’s finance minister has called for further cementing trade and economic links with Afghanistan.
Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar issued the call at a meeting with Ubaid Ur Rehman Nizamani, head of Pakistan’s mission to Afghanistan.
In a tweet from the Finance Ministry on Tuesday, Dar stressed the need for leveraging the advantages of proximity between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Also on Tuesday, the Pak Afghan Cooperation Forum delivered six truckloads of humanitarian goods to Afghan authorities.
Donated by Al Khidmat Foundation and Afghan Red Crescent, the relief goods included 17.5 tonnes of food items, clothing, bedding and medical supplies.
The handover ceremony at at Kharlachi crossing was attended by officials of Afghan Red Crescent, including head of South West Region Maulvi Ilyas.
