ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Three people have been killed and two others injured in a traffic accident in southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Monday.
Police spokesman Bahram Haqmal told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened on Sunday afternoon in Delaram Reg area.
He said Zaranj-Dilaram Highway chief Mullah Mohammad Hikmat had confirmed to him the accident in which three people were killed and two others injured.
Hikmat said: “Two doctors -- Fayeq and Muzammil -- and human resource department official Habib Ghafori were killed.”
An ex-mayor and another person were injured in the mishap. The wounded were evacuated to the provincial hospital, while the bodies were kept in the morgue of a covid-19 hospital.
Meanwhile, a hospital source told Pajhwok on condition of anonymity the injured were in coma and chances of their survival were little.
