KABUL (Pajhwok): Two security personnel were mistakenly ambushed and killed by other security forces in Jabal Seraj district of central Parwan province due to lack of coordination, an official said on Wednesday.
Mohammad Kamran Habibi, Parwan police spokesman, in a statement said: “Some media reports about the martyrdom of two personnel at the hands of rebels are far from truth”.
Habibi said: “The security personnel of Jabal Seraj district were heading to an area when they were attacked and killed by highway security personnel because of lack of coordination”.
Further investigation into the incident has been launched.
