KABUL (Pajhwok): The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has termed the presence of explosive ordnance in Afghanistan a serious threat to the people.
On its Twitter handle, ICRC said: “Mines and explosive ordnance in #Afghanistan posed a serious threat to the people.”
It added: “Since January, we are seeing an increase in injuries & deaths caused by these weapons. Most of the victims are children. Clearing these weapons is essential to keep everyone safe.”
