KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 62 runs in a warm-up match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat first in the 20-over game, scoring 160 runs with the loss of seven wickets and set Bangladesh 161 runs target.
Ibrahim Zadran made 46 runs, Mohammad Nabi 41 and Rahmanullah Gardez 27 runs.
The Bangladeshi team failed to chase the target and lost 9 wickets after piling up only 98 runs in 20 overs and Afghanistan won the match by 62 runs.
For Afghanistan, Farooqi clinched three wickets, Mujib Rehman, Naveenul Haq, Farid Ahmad and Mohammad Nabi shared one scalp each.
Afghanistan will play their second warm up match against Pakistan on Wednesday.
