KABUL (Pajhwok): Japan has contributed $ 5.5 million to support quality and equitable COVID-19 and routine vaccination in Afghanistan.

The aid was distributed through improving the cold-chain system such as procurement of insulated vehicles.

On its Twitter handle, the Japanese embassy wrote: “Japan contributes USD 5.5 million in order to support quality and equitable COVID-19 and routine vaccination in Afghanistan…”

The insulated vehicles would be procured in partnership with UNICEF and JICA, the embassy added.
