5 armed men killed in Kunduz operation: Police Chief

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Five armed men were killed during police operation on Tuesday in northern Kunduz Province, an official said.

Police Spokesperson Qari Obeidullah Abedi told Pajhwok Afghan News, an intelligence based operation was conducted this morning in the Sarak-i-Naw area of Kunduz City on armed men (Khawarej) hide out.

During the operation five armed men were killed after the decided resist security forces he added.

He said they rented a house where they lived in post security threat to the residence. They planed attacks from that house that they were eliminated before staging attack
