KABUL (Pajhwok): Germany plans to relocate Afghans, including civil society members and minorities, facing persecution, says a media report.
Under a new admission programme for Afghans,
The new programme was launched by German Foreign and Interior Ministries on Monday for Afghan citizens at risk of persecution, Deutsche Welle reported.
In line with Berlin’s new initiative, the Afghans involved with women’s and human rights, politics, justice and other fields, could find their way to Germany.
Additionally, the Afghan people subjected to persecution because of their religion, gender or sexual orientation will also be eligible for relocation to that country.
The women and girls, whose rights have been restricted, would benefit from the programme, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said.
