KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkish Red Crescent Society has distributed aid to 500 poor families in the central province of Maidan Wardak, an official said on Wednesday.
GhaznigulMangal, the Turkish Red Crescent representative, told Pajhwok Afghan News that every vulnerable family received 100 kilograms of wheat, 10 liters of cooking oil, 25 kilograms of rice, 8 kilograms of beans, 3 kilograms of sugar, one kilogram of tea and some salt and baby’s food.
Separately, the Agriculture and Livestock Department with financial support of the World Food Program (WFP) distributed refined seeds and chemical fertilizers to over 17000 farmers in Sayedabad district.
Each farmer was given away 50 kilograms of refined wheat seeds and 100 kilograms of fertilizers.
