University teachers studying abroad to get salaries

KABUL (Pajhwok): The acting prime minister’s office has approved a plan for salary payments to university teachers getting higher education in foreign countries, an official said on Wednesday.

Lutfullah Khairkhwa, a senior official at the Higher Education Ministry, tweeted: “We once again thank the acting finance minister for approving the salary payment plan for the university teachers getting higher education abroad.”

Earlier, the prime minister’s office had stopped the payment of salaries to university teachers who are studying abroad. An official letter was issued in this regard on September 8.
