Kapisa: 30 beds added to Tagab district hospital

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): The 20-bed hospital in Tagab district of central Kapisa province has been upgraded to 50-bed facility and was inaugurated on Sunday.

Hafiz Musa Jan Taha, director of public health, said at today’s inauguration ceremony that the hospital was equipped and financial supported by the Organization for Health Program and Management (OHPM).

He said: “Serving the suffering nation was the wish of the Mujahideen, and we consider ourselves obliged to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs.”

Maulvi Murtaza, the district administrative chief, said: “The hospital has the capacity to respond to health problems of the people of Tagab.”

Malik Janat Gul Jalali, head of the Tagab people’s council, expressed happiness over the hospital’s up-gradation to 50 beds.

Maulvi Habibullah Akhundzadeh, Deputy Minister of Health Services Supply of the Ministry of Health, said access to health services was the right of all citizens of the country and the Ministry of Public Health was committed to providing fair and balanced health services in the country.
