Officials in Parwan acknowledge the spread of the virus and say efforts have been made for prevention of the disease and the administration of LSD vaccine has been started in some areas.

“I had two dairy cows, they were sick for a period of 12 days, they contracted the same disease, we tried hard, but unfortunately they died, it was a great economic shock, we run our daily life from the income of dairy items sale.”
Senior Agriculture and Livestock official Dr. Mohammad Arif Aqeel said LSD infected up to 40 percent livestock in Parwan and the loss ratio stood at 10 pc.
