MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Residents in northern Balkh province have expressed concerns over the target killing of renowned physician Dr. Asadullah Shariq and demand the prevention of such incidents.
Dr. Shariq was killed near of his house in Mazar-i-Sharif by unknown gunmen last Wednesday.
Balkh residents termed the safety and security of cadre, professional and academic personalities the duty of the authorities and believed that security institutions should stop violent incidents.
Asghar, the resident of Balkh province, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “If the assassination of cadre and professional individuals continue this will harm our society and widen gap . . .
