MEHTARLAM/BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Hundreds of families in eastern Laghman and central Bamyan province have been distributed food and agriculture assistance, an official said on Sunday.
Mawlavi Mohammad Hassan, director Agriculture Department in Laghman, said under the World Food Programme (WFP) 400 farmers had been distributed urea and refined wheat seed.
He said each farmer distributed 50 kilograms of refined wheat seed, 50 kilograms of DP urea and 50 kilograms of white urea.
Separately, 4,300 vulnerable families distributed food items by WFP in Bamyan province, Qari Zainullah Masrour, director Social Affairs Department said.
Each family was provided 50 kilograms of flour, 25 kilograms of rice, seven kilograms of bean and five litre cooking oil.
