MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A young woman has committed suicide in the Kohistan district of northwestern Faryab province, an official said on Sunday.
Crime Branch Chief Mufti Mohammad Esmael Furqani told Pajhwok Afghan News a young woman Farida from the Damqul area of Faizabad’s 1st Police District committed suicide by taking prescribed medicine.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon, he said, adding the family violence was the reason behind the suicide she committed.
One of a local influential person said that the husband of deceased woman was in Iran and she was facing violence from her in laws.
