KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Meteorological Department (AMD) on Thursday forecasted heavy rain and warned of possible flooding in 17 provinces of the country.
In a statement, the department said there was possibility of relatively heavy rain and subsequent floods in Herat, Ghor, Badghis, Faryab, Sar-i-Pul, Jawzjan, Balkh, Samangan, Kunduz, Baghlan, Takhar, Badakhshan, Panjsher, Parwan, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak and Daikundi on November 4 and 5.
It predicted the precipitation from 10cm to 40cm.
