TALOQAN (Pajhwok): The residents of Chah Ab district in northern Takhar province have complained against the non-availability of transportation routes and said during spring and winter seasons they got stuck in water and mud.
Mohammad Sharif, a driver on the Chah Ab district road, said: “I wanted to go to Taloqan from Chah Ab but due to the none-availability of road I got stuck in the mud for six hours and we nearly had an accident. Now we asked for another vehicle to transfer our load to Taloqan.”
He complained against the previous governments regarding none-availability of proper roads and asked the incumbent government to address public transportation issue.
Shakaib, the resident of Chah Ab district, said from the past 20 years people had been facing the problem of transportation and none-availability of roads.
He said during summer dust and in winter and spring mud and clay caused problems for the people to travel on this route.
Public Works Director Mawlavi Ameer Khan Huzaifa said the construction of Mawar-i-Kockcha roads, including the Cha Ab district road, had been recommended to the minister and hoped that soon the work would be started.
