JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A man who looted people in the name of Taliban has been arrested in eastern Nangarhar province, police said on Sunday.
The detainee confessed to taking money and other valuable things from people during raids on their homes by introducing himself as an employee of the serious crimes department.
Nangarhar police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News that Directorate of Serious Crimes personnel arrested the imposter.
He said the detainee had been under surveillance of the Serious Crimes Department for a long time and was finally arrested.
